It's that time again! We're excited to announce the June meetup of the PHP User Group Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar. Join us on the 25th of June for our next meetup.

We've invited our long-time friend Sebastian Feldmann to come over and talk about how to become a Domain Driven Design (DDD) essentialist.

Domain-Driven Design has been around for a long time. It covers a wide spectrum of useful architectural patterns such as Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Hexagonal Architecture. And because we're technical people, those patterns often become the focus.

But DDD is bigger than its patterns. In his talk, Sebastian revisits the fundamentals and make the case that they matter far more than any particular architecture. If we get those right, our code and applications improve regardless of whether we're using the latest DDD-inspired pattern or none of them at all.
