Happy Birthday BitExpert blog!

Today, we celebrate a significant milestone - 20 years since we rebooted our company tech blog. On October 20, 2006, we embarked on a journey to regularly publish blog posts about topics that matter to us. Happy Birthday to the bitExpert tech blog!

Our journey

Sharing our learnings and contributing back to our communities are core values for us. In the early 2000s, blogs were an essential part of the software development culture, which inspired us to start our company tech blog.

We aimed to publish articles at regular intervals, although for most of the time, we didn't adhere to a fixed schedule. Instead, we posted whenever we felt the need to share our thoughts and experiences.

A new challenge

This approach changed in 2021 when I realized that we had only published one blog post throughout the entire year. I set a personal challenge to publish at least one blog post every week starting in 2022.

I'm proud to say that we've maintained this pace until today. Initially, it was tough to force myself to write a new blog post every week, but once I found my rhythm, I was able to pre-schedule posts for a few weeks in advance.

Motivation and challenges

During peak times, we had around 50 daily visitors coming from Google Search, which was a great motivator to keep up the publishing pace. However, over the past two years, the rise of AI has significantly impacted our numbers, dropping to about 10 daily visitors from Google.

Honestly, this decrease has made it challenging to stay motivated and maintain the tight publishing schedule.

The future

As a result, we've decided to continue sharing our learnings via this blog, but without adhering to a strict schedule. If you're subscribed to our blog's RSS feed, you'll still be notified whenever a new post is released.
