This item was not updated in last three versions of the Radar. Should it have appeared in one of the more recent editions, there is a good chance it remains pertinent. However, if the item dates back further, its relevance may have diminished and our current evaluation could vary. Regrettably, our capacity to consistently revisit items from past Radar editions is limited.
Adopt
Passbolt is an open-source password manager for teams built for collaboration.
For us, Passbolt is a good tool for sharing passwords internally in our teams. Before Passbolt, passwords were shared in KeePass files or via chat. We've been looking into all sorts of password-sharing solutions. In the end, we decided on Passbolt because it is written in PHP (which allows us to customize it if needed), it comes with an LDAP integration and the software can be hosted in our own IT infrastructure.
Over the years, Passbolt got more and more features. In 2022 the Passbolt team even released the first version of a mobile application.
