The PHP meetup Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar will meet again on the 30th of August 2023 at bitExpert AG in Mannheim, Germany.

The talks for the August meetup are already scheduled. We'll have Boas & Holger from bitExpert talking about the experiences and learnings migrating the backend part of a legacy Single Page Application to Symfony and API Platform. The why and how of this journey is shared, and they'll cover how the resulting application was turned into an installable executable for easier distribution.

The second talk of the day is by Andreas Lehr. Andreas will introduce us to imgproxy, a fast and secure standalone server for resizing and converting remote images. Andreas will show us how to use imgproxy for dynamic image scaling in your application environment.
