Thursday last week, the Kellerkinder folks hosted their annual barcamp in Mannheim. Being a big fan of barcamp events, I could not say no when they invited me to attend the event.

As to be expected from a barcamp the sessions were completely diverse. From the (obvious) topics like Shopware and AI, there have been sessions covering how to deal with 3rd party code, how to hand over responsibility to employees, headless commerce insights, coping with different image formats, and how to introduce new technology in a company. No matter what your personal preferences are, you could at least find 1 session per slot with an interesting topic to learn about.

I was one of the lucky people who got their talk proposals accepted. In my talk, I demoed Gally - a searchandising solution for Composable Commerce. Being a big fan of Gally myself and a big supporter, I tried to pass my passion for it to the audience and I think, I did a good job.

However, the highlight of the event was meeting Jan van Randenborgh. We have followed each other online for years, but haven't met in over 15 years. Hopefully, we'll meet again a lot sooner than that.

Looking forward to attending next year's Kellerkinder barcamp again!
