Prometheus is an open-source system monitoring and alerting toolkit which collects and stores its metrics as time series data.
With Prometheus being widely supported in all sorts of tools (e.g. GitLab, Trafik, Nomad, ...) it makes sense for us to move to this platform to get the most out of it. Prometheus works fine in a cloud-based environment which is also a big plus for us.
