Roadrunner

Since FrankenPHP got its first official release in 2023 and since FrankenPHP being close to the Symfony & API Platform ecosystem, it makes sense to drop Roadrunner and focus fully on FrankenPHP. Our first experiments have been working fine for us.

Roadrunner is a high-performance PHP application server, load-balancer, and process manager written in Golang.

Roadrunner looks like an interesting, alternative "runtime" for larger-scale instances. Usually, our customers don't have performance issues but it still could be an interesting approach, especially since it reduces complexity as Roadrunner and the PHP processes are executed in the same Docker instance.
